There are many interesting side trips from the Strip that you might not have known about if you're a new visitor to Vegas. Although many associate Las Vegas with gambling, glitz and glamour, there are many other things that you can do in Sin City. We discussed last week some of the less-known gems found just outside the Strip.

The Encore Boston Harbor, located in Everett Massachusetts, is near the Logan International Airport. It also has many colleges and universities. The towering building towers over the Mystic River and is visible from major roads. It's a perfect spot for a last-minute weekend away from Boston.

Encore Boston Harbor's 600 guestrooms are decorated in neutral tones and feature airy finishes. Some rooms overlook Boston Harbor or the skyline. The room type determines the price, which can range from $339 to $1099 per night.
